Gather your supplies.
Cut Black Cord to 60 inches
in length. Stiffen both ends
by rolling it between your
finger with a dab of craft
glue. Allow glue to dry. This
will help when threading
the beads.

Create a lark knot on the
key ring.

To create Row 1, thread (4)
black Pony Beads onto the
left hand string.

Take your right hand string
and lace back through beads
from the other end.

Pull cords tight to form this
row of your Kitten Bead Pet.
This will be the top of the
kitten’s head.

You will now need to add the
kitten’s ears to the top of the
head. To do this, thread (1)
black bead on the left hand
string. Thread the other end
of this left hand string
through the first bead from
Row 1 going from right to left
as shown.

Pull the left hand string tight.
You will see that you have
now added the ear to the top
of the kitten’s head.

Repeat on the other side and
thread through the first bead
from left to right to create the
second kitten ear. The ears
will perk up into position
after creating and tightening
row 2.

To create Row 2 of the
Kitten’s head, thread the
following onto your left hand
string: (1) black bead, (1)
metallic Green, (1) white
bead, (1) metallic green, and
(1) black bead. Repeat Steps 5

To create Row 3, thread the
following through the left
hand string: (1) black bead, (1)
white bead, (1) pink bead, (1)
white bead and (1) black
bead. Repeat Steps 5 and 6
to complete row, which
includes the kitten’s pink
nose!

To create Row 4, thread the
following through the left
hand string: (1) black bead, (2)
white beads, (1) black bead.
Repeat Steps 5 and 6 to
complete row.

To create Row 5, thread the
following through the left
hand string: (1) black bead, (3)
white beads, (1) black bead.
Repeat Steps 5 and 6 to
complete row.

To create Row 6, thread the
following through the left
hand string: (1) black bead, (4)
white beads, (1) black bead.
Repeat Steps 5 and 6 to
complete row.

To create Row 7, thread the
following through the left
hand string: (1) black bead,
(3) white beads, (1) black
bead. Repeat Steps 5 and 6
to complete row.

To create Row 8, thread the
following through the left
hand string: (2) black beads,
(2) white beads, (2) black
beads. Repeat Steps 5 and 6
to complete row.

To create the tail for the
kitten, thread (7) black beads
through the left hand string.
Tie this end to the end of Row
5 in a double knot.

Tie a double knot in the right
hand string. Trim off excess
cord. Attach your Kitten Bead
Pet onto your backpack or
hang in your room!
