Compass 6000™ Condition Monitoring System
Version 10: Faster, simpler and more flexible
Compass 6000™ and its family of systems have been Brüel & Kjær Vibro’s
flagship condition monitoring platforms for over 25 years. Many plants around the
world within the energy, petrochemical and process industries have been depending on Compass − and for good reason. The comprehensive, scalable condition
monitoring and diagnostic capability offered by the systems has been successfully ensuring machine production, reliability and efficiency is maximized while
machine life cycle costs minimized.
The newest release dramatically increases performance without changing the
basic functionality or concept. Compass 6000™ still uses the Brüel & Kjær Vibro
VIBROCONTROL 6000® protection system for data acquisition, but extra
versatility is provided by the new Condition Monitoring Interface VI-6080 to
enable the system to be used with almost any machine protection system with
buffered outputs.
The new operating system and SQL database server on Microsoft Windows®
extends data management capability, simplifies installation, optimizes data
security and increases processing speed. Server hardware, licensing and overall
IT maintenance requirements are now much more cost-effective. For existing
customers, the new upgrade is compatible with Compass UNIX-based systems,
and requires no additional training.
