Leader: We come to worship today because we love You, and we
want to love You more.
All: We come to worship seeking love in our lives; love for family, friends, strangers and enemies.
Leader: In this time of worship touch and fill our hearts with love.
All: and open our hearts to Your love which passes all understanding.
Leader: Guide us all, o God, as we seek to inspire the world with the inclusive love
of Jesus.
All: Help us to love one another as You have loved us.
Leader: Hear us now as we pray the prayer He taught, saying:
All: Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name. Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily
bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us
not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For Thine is the kingdom,
and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen.

MESSAGE
Jesu, Jesu, Fill Us with Your Love
+ CLOSING HYMN
Red #459
(Refrain:) Jesu, Jesu, fill us with your love,
show us how to serve the neighbors we have from you.
Kneels at the feet of his friends, silently washes their feet,
Jesus, our brother, a humble man. (refrain)
Neighbors are wealthy and poor, varied in color and race;
neighbors are near and far away. (refrain)
These are the ones we would love, these are the ones we would serve;
all these are neighbors, your children, too. (refrain)

The Ken Thome Team MUSIC TODAY (Thomas Paulson)
The Chancel Choir is singing a new 2015 setting of Langston Hughes’ (1902-1967) iconic
poem. It is an eloquent expression of hope for a world where all humankind treats each
other with dignity, respect and selflessness.
I dream a world where man no other man will scorn,
Where love will bless the earth and peace its paths adorn.
I dream a world where all will know sweet freedom’s way,
Where greed no longer saps the soul, nor avarice blights our day.
A world I dream where black or white, whatever race you be,
Will share the bounties of the earth, and every man is free,
Where wretchedness will hang its head,
And joy, like a pearl, attends the needs of all mankindof such I dream, my world!
