The Art of Quilling
Sadbhavna Diwali Session
Another stress relieving session, involved more than 60 female employees from Delhi and
NCR locations. This session encouraged the women employees to work on their creative
instincts, thus fullling its objective.
Paper quilling or paper ligree is an art or craft form where the artist creates intricate
designs by shaping and gluing narrow strips of paper. This art requires patience, neatness
and a lot of time, but produces amazingly beautiful results that can be used for a variety of
purposes: item decorating, handmade greeting cards, three-dimensional miniatures,
pictures and even jewelry.
Participants shaped their imaginations in beautiful forms, which could be seen plugged on
their desks as an important possession. It was worth seeing the excitement in their eyes by
getting indulged into something for which they could not really spare time, otherwise, in
their personal and professional lives. Some of them revisited their childhood days and few
even took this as a stress relieving session. The outcome was manifestation of one's own
imagination, creativity and state of mind.
Newgen Women forum aims to organize many such creative sessions in future, which can
provide a platform to all women employees to let their creativity ow!!
