October 3-7, 2016: Deliver or ship paintings to Phoenix Restoration, 17712 15th Ave NE Shoreline, WA 98155 No artwork can be delivered directly to the Convention Center. Shipment MUST INCLUDE PREPAID BAR CODED RETURN shipping label. Show opens: October 13, 2016 Show closes: January 11, 2017 Entry Fee: $45.00 for submission of up to 3 paintings, paid through www.OnlineJuriedShows.com only. Painting requirements: 1. All work must be framed (or gallery wrapped) & wired for hanging (no saw tooth hangers). Minimum finished (framed) size: 12" on shortest side. Maximum framed size: 48" on longest side. 2. The concept, design, and execution of the artwork shall be solely that of the artist. All work must be original (no production prints). 3. All mediums of painting and drawing, which includes oils, acrylics, gouache, pastels, colored pencils, collage, and mixed media (low relief-maximum 2" is OK) may be entered, as well as small edition hand-pulled prints. NO photography, digital art, or gicleé prints. Painting displayed in the show must match the jpeg submitted (no substitutions). 4. All paintings must remain in place for the duration of the show. 5. All paintings must be clearly labeled on the back with the following: Your name, Title of work, Medium, Price & Your contact info (attaching a business card with your contact info is a good idea). 5. We are requesting that you submit 3 paintings (as digital images) for the juror to choose from. 6. NAWA retains the right of discretion to decide if artworks do not meet the requirement of the show standards, or contain any inflammatory or offensive material. Entering Your Images: Submitted images must not include matting or frame. Crop the photos to include only the artwork. Be sure your images are right-side-up. For best results, make sure your image is 1920 pixels @72 dpi on the longest side. Images should be in JPEG format, sRGB color space. The Washington State Convention Center does not charge a commission. In the event of a sale, the artist will receive 70% of the selling price and WPW and N.A.W.A will each receive 15% of the selling price. 3. The WSCC and Women Painters of Washington have the right to use photos of submitted work, without charge, for advertising and/or promotion of the Exhibition and for any purposes including traditional media, social media, website as well as public relations, prior to and/or after the Exhibition. ENTRY AGREEMENT: The entry application and payment will serve as the entrant’s agreement to all conditions (including the Waiver) set forth in this prospectus. Entries will be disqualified for failure to follow these instructions. Submitting works of art is no guarantee that the applicant will be accepted into this exhibition. Copyright protection of images is the responsibility of the artist. ====================================== WAIVER-BY ENTERING THIS SHOW, THE ARTIST AGREES TO THE FOLLOWING: I, the undersigned artist, hereby declare my intention to exhibit my artwork as described in my entry form, in the National Association of Women Artists, Inc., library exhibition entitled "Women Artists Coast to CoastWEST", and to leave said artwork until the specified removal date in the prospectus. In consideration of the display of my artwork, I hereby declare I am the owner and creator of the original artwork being submitted by me, both as the artwork’s physical manifestation and the copyright of artwork. I accept full responsibility for any and all damages, loss, theft, and/or any other casualty of any kind while in the custody and care and possession of the Seattle Convention Center, 800 Convention Place, Seattle, WA, 98101. I hereby waive any and all claims against N.A.W.A. (NYC) and/or the Seattle Convention Center, (Seattle, WA), as well as their employees, officers, directors and committee personnel. Nevertheless, for the purpose of this agreement, I agree that the stated value of the artwork shall be One ($1.00) Dollar, in the event of any loss or damage to the piece of artwork. I agree to allow an image of my artwork being exhibited to be used without charge for advertising and/or promotion in the furtherance of the Exhibition, and for any purposes including without limitation traditional media, social media, website as well as public relations, prior to and/or after the Exhibition. My work is available for sale at the price hereinbefore agreed. I agree that if my work is sold during the exhibition, I will pay N.A.W.A. a commission of 15% percent, WPW also of 15% and I will retain 70% percent of the selling price. Point of release clause: the work on exhibition is considered part of the exhibition from point of delivery (either by hand or by mail) and until actual pick up/shipping after close of exhibition. I understand that my work may not be hung if it fails to meet professional presentation standards (as determined by the Exhibitions committee), arrives damaged, differs significantly from the jpeg image submitted, is over the depth, width and height limit; and for wall sculpture, is above the weight, depth, width and height limits. N.A.W.A. retains the right of discretion to decide if artworks do not meet the requirements of our show standards, or contains any inflammatory or offensive materials. Labels: N.A.W.A. a not-for-profit art organization, will not list anything other than the name of the artists, the title of the work and medium on the labels. A price list will be available at the exhibition. In the event of a dispute with regard to this Waiver Agreement, we agree that all disputes must be adjudicated in a State Court in the County, City and State of New York (i.e., Manhattan), under the Laws of the State of New York, without regard to choice of Law rules. Note: The use of the National Association of Women Artists, Inc.’s logo without prior written permission is prohibited. The use of the registered Trademark Seal and the logo of the National Association of Women Artists, Inc. for any personal or business use on any documents, postcards, invitations, and other promotional materials and communications is a violation of law. The letters N.A.W.A. may be used by regular juried members (i.e., not Associate or Student members), after their names, on all artworks, signifying their membership.
