M.Phil. in Buddhist Studies
1) The M.Phil Programme is of three semesters for 800 marks/32 credits. First two semesters are
for ‘Course Work’ and the third semester is for ‘Dissertation’.
2) Course Work is for 600 marks/24 credits. In the first semester, there are five course papers for
400 marks/16 credits. In the second semester, there are two course papers for 200 marks/8
credits.
3) Except Course nos. 5&7, written examination for all courses shall be conducted by the
Examination section of the University.
4) Course nos. 5&7 to be evaluated by the committee constituted by the centre/department
concerned and marks shall be submitted to the controller of Examinations by the
Director/HOD.
5) The third semester is meant for Dissertation for 150 marks/06 credits.
6) Viva-voce for 50 marks/02 credits.

Objective: The main objective of this course is to develop an extensive knowledge of computer
operation among the Research Scholars of Mahatma Gandhi Antarrashtriya Hindi Vishwavidayalaya; so
that, they can carry over their research innovatively and effectively. Hence, the course is outlined by
keeping research requirements into account, covering basic knowledge of computer structure and
operation, data collection, data analysis(through SPSS, MS Excel, etc.), gradation and presentation
related to the textual, audio-visual as well as graphical knowledge. Thus, it will fulfill the dream of ecampus and e-learning of the university by making students/scholars computer savvy and proficient.
