Who We Are
The Wildcats’ baseball program put together a 8year stint of winning the NSIC conference tourney in the early 2000’s. Wayne State finished
3rd in the NSIC Conference Tourney last year
spring of 2014.
The Wayne State College Baseball program is a
DII baseball program in the Northern Sun conference. The program takes pride in its winning
tradition and continues to have success not only
on the field, but also in the classroom


and lessons to aspiring athletes who want to better
themselves in the sport of

The Total Skills Camp emphasizes all parts of the
game. This includes fielding, pitching, catching, hitting, and base running. This camp is great for all ages. One of the many great qualities of this camp is the
one on one instruction you will receive from the Wildcat staff. Instructors for the camp will be the WSC
coaches and players. This camp also serves as a
great tool for evaluation from our staff to any potential
college baseball player. This will be a great camp for
any player to help them enhance their game!

A lot of success can be shown on the field, with a
winning tradition prevalent in 17 consecutive
winning seasons. However, the baseball team
takes pride in more than just winning. The WSC
Baseball team also understands the importance
of performing well in the classroom. The team
GPA is around 3.25 and among that, 10 players
recently received the all-academic conference
team this past Spring of 2014.

More About Us
Kirk Clark (shown left) is a newly
added addition to the Wayne
State College coaching staff as
of the 2015 season. Coach Clark
comes to Wayne State after playing minor league baseball since
being drafted by the Houston Astros in 2009. He set
a single season saves record in low-A Lexington during the 2010 season with 29 to earn South Atlantic
League All-Star honors. During his three plus seasons in the Astros minor league system, Clark was 14
-11 with 57 saves in 160 minor league appearances.
