Enable students to identify developmental milestones across physical, social, emotional and cognitive domains. Present a perspective on the changes that take place during an individual’s life from birth to death. Demonstrate how different theoretical perspectives affect or determine research and the applications that emerge from these approaches. Learning Outcomes On successful completion of this module the learner will be able to: LO1 Describe the developing person at different stages across the life span. LO2 Identify the key developmental theories impacting development from childhood to adolescence. LO3 Apply theoretical approaches to understand the physical, cognitive, social, emotional issues in human development. LO4 Develop a perspective on the changes that take place during an individuals life from birth to death. LO5 Understand how the different theoretical perspectives impact on research and applications.
