EASTON INCREDIBALL The highest quality safety baseball/softball available. Used as a learning tool by players and coaches at all levels of competition. Used by pro teams and top colleges High-performance ball with the feel of authentic game balls and the softness of Incrediball • Reduced weight polyurethane core • Baseball stitched seams • Available in a durable synthetic leather cover or nylon ball with authentic baseball stitching • 12 “ neon yellow or white softball and 9” white baseball Test Well here we have it after extensive tests we conclude these balls are incredible. The Easton baseball and softball incrediball is fantastic, Manchester Ball Club have been using these for the last 3 months for indoor practice on offer were two versions of the 12” incrediball Softballs both high quality safety balls and the 9” incrediball baseball again highest quality safety ball. First glance these balls look like the traditional baseballs and softballs (we had nice bright white ones) but as soon as you have them in your hand you see the difference they are slightly lighter than normal that’s not to say to light they feel nice something you could throw and control unlike the featherlite softballs a little to flighty for me although has its place especially indoors in a confined space. Outer nylon coating feels nice with authentic stitches raised just how they should be compresses with slight effort. The second option is the durable synthetic leather cover, feels more like a game softball although more compressible again really nice raised seams, these balls feel a little heavier than the nylon covered balls, my feelings would be the ideal ball for outdoor secondary school play being more durable especially in damp conditions, being softer than traditional softballs (there as hard as a cricket ball) the added advantage would be in safety much less painful if your hit by one these. Unlike previous synthetic leather covered balls I have used noticeably Rawlings Tee balls the cover appear very robust. No splitting or tearing along the seams after first use so you’re not going to have to replace them every 5 minutes, they look to have plenty of live in them. You have a choice in colour either neon (yellow) or white. The baseball version of the ball has been used for children from age 7 up to our seniors every week (we use the nylon covered ball) we’ve thrown it and hit it with everything we had, wood bats, composite and aluminum it doesn’t matter it performs fantastically we thought it may give at the seams but 3 months on it’s still together. I would add though it’s very now very grey, it’s only down side (I believe you can wash them but have not tried). A little hard to see against block walls if thrown at speed. When you hit this ball at bottom you can see it deform, ends up looking like an egg in front of your eyes. It quickly returns to its original shape though and plays as normal, some of our adults feel its a little light and struggle holding on to it when it’s been hit hard still it’s safe in a confined space. This ball comes of the ground similar to a real baseball making it more natural to field as you would in a game (we practice on a 3g pitch). Conclusion both versions of the Easton incrediball are fantastic we would highly recommend them to anybody the nylon covered balls are ideal for primary schools, can he used highly effectively indoors for training or games. The synthetic leather version is suited to indoor/outdoor play as the surface is more durable ideal for secondary, college and university players. Both balls are safer for beginners who may lack the skills and confidence to use a traditional baseball/softball. John Eaton Development Officer Manchester Baseball Club
