your EM requirement first (including SPI).

EM Policy Reminders
 Requesting more than 3 consecutive days off for EM rotation requires prior approval from course director, Joe House
([email protected])
 Student scheduling requests (3 days) for EM should be limited to critical personal and medical school commitments and
cannot conflict with blackout dates. The only exception is during Period 7 when students can request 5 days off and
perform shifts post exam.
 Longitudinal clinic – In advance of the EM rotation, M4s with longitudinal clinics need to notify clerkship coordinator
stating day of the week and time of the clinic. Students may ask for up to 5 requests but requests cannot conflict with
blackout dates. We will work with students to accommodate as best we can.
 In general, Wednesday mornings are the best day/times for appointments. Shifts typically run 7a-3p/3p-11p/11p-7a.
If additional information is needed, please contact the EM clerkship coordinator, Heather Wourman ([email protected]).
