SCHUYLERVILLE
Towns of Northumberland and Saratoga have completed the
construction of a one mile trail segment along the Old Champlain Canal
from Lock 5 to Route 29.
OLD CHAMPLAIN CANAL
The Town of Saratoga has received a federal grant through
the Public Lands Access Program to construct a 2-mile portion of the
trail along the old Champlain Canal from the Schuyler House to
Garnsey Lane. Ownership of one mile of the proposed trail segment
has been acquired by the Town of Saratoga. Acquisition of the
remaining one mile segment by the National Park Service is in progress.
SARATOGA AND STILLWATER
Passed resolutions designating River Road as a signed
on-street Champlain Canalway Trail connector.
SARATOGA COUNTY
Has obtained a trail easement over the old Champlain Canal
in Waterford from the end of the existing trail at old Lock 5
to the Halfmoon town line.
WATERFORD
2.5 miles of existing trail along the old Champlain Canal.
