We urgently need to fund a Multipurpose Fluoroscopy System – a lifesaving piece of equipment which is used to obtain real-time moving X-rays. This new equipment will enable our highly skilled radiologists to diagnose and provide treatment which in turn will give our patients the best possible chance of a full and healthy life. Did you know the proposed Multipurpose Fluoroscopy System… Is the current gold standard for the timely diagnosis and treatment of vascular trauma injuries, which can lead to serious blood loss. Operates with as little radiation as possible, meaning the process is as safe as it can possibly be. Will enable us to ca rry out specialist proc edures within the childre n’s hospital – removin g the risks associated w ith transferring patien ts. Will enable our experts to use Interventional Radiology, a technique which uses X-ray guidance to selectively image and need treat different organs without the for invasive surgery. 9 10 FAQs Where is the auction? What is a Telephone Bid? What is the guide price? The Crucible Theatre 55 Norfolk Street Sheffield S1 1DA If you can’t attend the auction you can still take part in the bidding by pre-selecting which elephant(s) you would like to bid for and how much you are willing to pay. Please state your preferred payment method when you submit your bid on the Telephone Bidding Form. You will be required to provide a copy of your passport/ driving licence and a recent utilities bill (from the last three months). We will phone you before your lot is due so that you can speak to a member of the auction team live in the auction room and instruct us to bid for you. Whilst it is difficult to assess the likely amount that any sculpture may sell for, we believe a bid in excess of £1,500 should secure a sculpture. However, prices realised could be higher and we expect popular sculptures to raise a significant amount for Sheffield Children’s Hospital. What time does it start and end? Registration begins at 5.00pm with a drinks reception until 6.45pm. The auction will start promptly at 7.00pm and we expect it to finish at approximately midnight.
