Family Movie Matinee: Holes (all ages)-Tuesday, June 4th @ 2:30pm at both locations
Join us for a screening of Holes! Stanley Yelnats finds himself at Camp Green Lake, where
digging a hole a day keeps the warden at bay and "builds character." Stanley is thrown into the
adventure of his life when he and his campmates unearth the mystery of what's really going on in

Ronald will make reading fun by using storytelling, magic, and music to share

June 10th: Father’s Day is next weekend, so let’s celebrate with stories about daddies!

After School Storytime (ages 4-7) - Every other Wednesday from 3:30-4:15pm at Gaffney
June 5th: Let’s talk about our favorite creepy-crawlies: bugs!
June 19th: Don’t miss this month’s alphabet storytime featuring letter F!
Tween Time (ages 8-11) - Every other Wednesday from 4:00-4:45pm at Gaffney
June 12th: Summer is a great time to pick up a new hobby, so why not try gardening? We’ll learn
some techniques and decorate biodegradable flower pots to start your own garden!
June 26th: Gitty Daneshvari, author of the School of Fear series and the Monster High juvenile
novels, will be visiting us via Skype next month! We’ll have a book club and talk about her first
book, School of Fear, over snacks. Copies of the book are available at both CCPL locations, so
pick one up and read it!
Blacksburg Story & Activity Time (ages 0-11) - Wednesdays @ 3pm at Blacksburg
June 5th: We will read stories, play parachute games, have a Dig-It-Up scavenger hunt for books,
and make a craft!
June 12th: We will read stories about underground animals, sing songs, and tell a story together.
June 19th: We will listen to stories, have a worm relay, and look at a worm farm.

Live Clue (ages 12-18) - Monday, June 3rd @ 4pm at Gaffney
Can you solve the murder mystery? Come show off your detective skills in a life-size version of
the popular board game!

Celebrate everyone’s favorite undead being with zombie snacks, games, and more. Don’t forget
to dress up in your best zombie attire for our zombie costume contest!

computers to manipulate as many images as

Kids will enjoy the expertise of a retired art
teacher while learning drawing and painting

From a paper tree collage, to making your own
design with ceramic tiles, to seeing what salt will
do with watercolors...you just don't know what's

Recycling old magazines by rolling the pages to
create their “one of a kind” geometric art
piece...using mixed media on canvas with a

There will be a lunch break between the
morning and afternoon classes. If your
child is staying all day he/she should bring a
dollar to provide adult supervision for the
time between classes.
