Gonio which is one of the oldest inhabited areas of
Georgia is located on the south part of Batumi city.
The first settlements in Gonio appeared in VIII-VII
B.C.
Old Gonio territory is famous with its merged
historical architecture, the Gonio fortress, stony
beaches and admirable landscapes.

Project Description
 The Government of Georgia intends to
select an investor to develop the territory in
the best possible manner that comprises
both commercial viability of the project and
sustainable growth of the Georgian
economy.
 The project should create new black sea
destination for the whole year round
activities.
Undertakings of the Government of Georgia
Privatize 314 land plot for the project development
Ensures appropriate infrastructure (gas, water, sewerage system,
electricity, road) connected to the land plot area.
Planning and construction of the bridge for vehicles across the Black Sea.


Gonio Feasibility Study and Development concept was prepared by Colliers International in Association with
HOK.
According to the Colliers International Report, Gonio offers excellent opportunity to develop a mixed resort
with hotel, leisure, residential, conventional areas, etc.

Basic Requirements for the Project Development Concept
Principles of sustainable development,
environmentally friendly economy, green
landscape design and long term value
generation for economic growth should be
particularly taken into consideration
Public structures/area should occupy no less
than 30% of the territory (e.g recreational
infrastructure, sport infrastructure,
engineering infrastructure, healing services,
yacht club, aqua park and public oriented
structures: multifunctional buildings,
concert, conference, exhibition halls,
shopping malls, cinemas, etc.).
Elaboration of the investment plan for the
project development after the acceptance of
the Development Plan.
