EARTH FILTERS
This type of filter features a layer of inert
minerals resting on a coarser (polyester)
canvas support.
In the case of diatomaceous earth, the
mineral is made from a very fine silica meal
derived from fossilized unicellular microorganisms of varying diameters (from 4 µm
to 60 µm).
The clean mineral provides excellent filtering
performance right from system start-up, but
its efficiency even increases throughout the
filtering cycle.
With diatomaceous earth filtering, it is
possible to achieve purity levels up to 1
µm.
