Welcome to Coletta Gelato, San Francisco’s first real gelateria in the SOMA district. Our gelato is
exceedingly fresh and ultra smooth with imaginative flavors that meld Italia with the Bay Area.
We are committed to making our gelato by hand and know that every detail matters. We spent
months perfecting our proprietary gelato base, which is the starting point for all of our offerings.
This base is then blended with premium, seasonal ingredients that create an array of flavors. Our scoops
are always served at the optimum temperature and at peak freshness. In these ways, we
ensure that every spoonful has a silky texture and tastes absolutely delicious.

OUR TEAM
Our founders, Henri Waltenspühl and Antonio Massimini, met while studying for their business degrees in
Milan, but it was their love of gelato that got them dreaming. After attending Gelato University (yes, that’s
a thing) they headed west to open Coletta Gelato – named after Henri’s grandmother, Nicoletta, who first
introduced him to gelato during summer vacations on the Italian coast. Buon Appetito!
