SoJo’s Paint Night
What is a SoJo’s Paint Night like?
You will come and relax in a social setting, while Sonja Johnson guides you through a no
pressure, fun and friend filled step-by-step painting of a featured image. Regardless of your
experience level, you are sure to go home with a painting that is uniquely yours. By the end
of the evening you will be amazed at the artwork you have created! The classes start at
6:00p.m. but if you intend to have food prior you should arrive at least an hour early. For
cocktails and to choose your preferred seating 5:30 is recommended. Classes are roughly 2
- 2 ½ hours long with frequent breaks.
Do I need to sign up in advance?
Because of limited seating, signing up in advance is always recommended. You can see the
summer schedule and register on SoJo’s Studio and Gallery Face book Page or give me a
call at 207-670-8706. . You can also e-mail me at [email protected]. Early registration is
encouraged as sessions have both a minimum and maximum registration. Classes may be
canceled if there are not enough pre-registrations.
What is the cost of a SoJo’s class?
The price ranges between $35-$45 depending on the session and painting. Groups of 5-10
will receive a 10% discount and groups of 10-20 will receive a 15% discount. For Private
parties a full deposit is required to reserve the date and venue. Refunds will be given in the
form of a credit towards a future class if they are at least 15 days prior to the event. SoJo’s
accepts all major credit cards and personal local checks.
What is included in the price?
We provide each painter with a pre-stretched 16X20 canvas, paint, brushes, easels, aprons
and instruction. You may order from the restaurants’ menu before your session and drinks
during the event. Sessions are adult oriented – therefore participants must be 21 and older.
Younger ages should be booked as a private party. Drinks may be purchased from the host
restaurant. Gratuities are not included.
What do I wear?
While we will provide aprons, we recommend wearing something you wouldn't mind getting
paint on- just in case!

What is your cancellation policy? Because of our waiting list, we ask you to give us 48
hours notice if you need to cancel. Cancellations should be made via e-mail or by calling
207-670-8706. This provides me the opportunity to fill the space. We can't provide refunds
for payment but we are happy to reschedule. We will charge the class fee for reservations
not cancelled 48 hours in advance. No call /no shows will not be rescheduled.
When does the new schedule come out?
I will try to post the schedule four to six weeks in advance. Check back often, we are always
adding new events. I am currently just scheduling on Wednesday nights due to busy summer
schedules for area venues. You an always plan a private party for a birthday, bachelor/ette
party, family reunion, etc.
I missed a painting that I really want to paint! How often will you repeat
paintings? Please let us know! We will keep this in mind when scheduling the next month's
paintings!
Can I book you for a private party?
Absolutely! Please call or email and we can talk about arrangements, places, dates, etc. I do
ask that you have a minimum of 8 participants or $280 total for the afternoon/evening. I will
provide all equipment necessary for the painting event. I will provide coverings for your
tables, but can't be responsible for spilled paint. I will not be liable for the consumption of
alcohol at a public venue or a private home. The offering of such beverages at a private
home is up to the discretion of the host/hostess.
If I come with a friend or a group, can we all sit together?
We always try to seat friends and parties together... just be sure to let us know when making
your reservation and we'll be sure to make the appropriate seating arrangements; and arrive
early.




Sales Tax and Gratuity where applicable are not included in prices posted
Your paintings are ready to take with you at the end of each session.
SoJo’s is not responsible for any paintings left after the session.
SoJo’s is not liable for alcohol consumption. Please drink responsibly.
