Autumn Term 1
Learning log tasks are designed to be
fun, open-ended and child directed.
Ask your parents to help if you like as
they may have some good ideas. You
must complete 4 tasks from the
selection on this sheet - there’s even a
blank one if you want to add your own
idea.
Date given: 2nd September 2015

Let’s Explore –
Tudor times were a great period of sea voyages and global
exploration. Find out the names of some Tudor explorers and the
new products they brought home. Write a biography of one of
the explorers.
What Shall I wear? –
Tudors in our city –
Visit your local library or museum (or both!) and find out about
your area in Tudor times. Are there any maps, buildings or
artefacts from that era? Create a scrapbook or poster of photos,
leaflets and any other information you discover.
Knock, Knock…
Do you have horrible humour? Write some ‘knock-knock’ or
‘What do you call a…?’ jokes about grisly Tudor facts. Present a
jester-style, stand-up performance for your family and record it.
Make sketches of Tudor costumes for children and adults, rich
and poor. Use websites and books from your local library to find
out about garments, styles and decorative details.
Tudor Towers Make a model of the Tower of London – or perhaps an
instrument of torture, complete with fake bloodstains!
REMEMBER!!!
Be as creative as you
want to be! The whole
idea is to do it your way!
Try to record your work
somehow so that we can
all see it! Enjoy.
