Welcome Class of 2017
The Hamilton J. Robichaud High School family extends a warm welcome to each of you as you
continue with your final year of your high school career. We want you to experience a
memorable year and we are very excited to assist you in making this a successful year. Many
exciting activities are being planned for you. This handbook is provided to you so that you may
stay informed about events, deadlines, and amounts due in order to ensure that your senior year
will progress smoothly.
It is important that you realize that you must participate in planned activities if you wish to
build memories. Seniors are the best part of our Bulldog family! As the leaders of our school,
we would like for all of our seniors to enjoy their last year here at Robichaud High School!
Please know that as your class sponsors, I am here to help you. Feel free to stop by (at an
appropriate time), email, or leave a note if you ever need anything. I will be happy to help you.

Homecoming
Homecoming is Friday, September 30, 2016. The dance will be held on Saturday, October 1st,
2016 in the Robichaud Gymnasium from 8-11 p.m.
Applications for Homecoming can be located in the Counseling Office. Look for the Senior
Table of Information, or see Ms. H.
You must meet the criteria, and submit your application and Profile sheet no later than Friday,
September 23, 2016.
Homecoming Court Criteria
Students who are interested in serving as a member of the Homecoming Court must meet the following criteria:
• Court Members must have at least 2.0 G.P.A. overall
• Homecoming Court will consist of 1 boy & 1 girl from the each of the freshman, sophomore, and junior classes. 3 boys
& 3 girls will represent the senior class.
• Administration will be consulted regarding students’ attendance, tardies, grades, and behavior before the student is
eligible to be placed on the ballot. Students who have committed major discipline infractions (i.e. arson, assault,
drug/alcohol involvement, false fire alarm, malicious destruction of school property, theft, threats, weapons, etc.) are not
eligible to serve as members of the Homecoming Court.
• Court Members must be willing to serve as ambassadors for their school by participating in one community service
project sponsored by your Student Council.
• Court Members must submit a Homecoming Court Application and Candidate Flyer by Sept. 23, 2016 to Ms. H.

Prom Criteria for Robichaud High School Class 2017
Friday, June 2, 2017 @ Laurel Manor in Livonia 8:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.
GUIDELINES
This is a formal, school sponsored event; therefore, all school rules and guidelines that have been established by
the Westwood Board of Education, Robichaud High School Administration and Senior Class Advisor apply.
Attending this event is a privilege, not a right. By submitting and signing the attached form, you (student) agree
that you meet the attendance and discipline requirements as stated in the Robichaud High School Parent/Student
Handbook and on our district website.
GENERAL RULES
• Seniors may attend the prom. Seniors may invite an underclassmen or a guest.
• Payments will be accepted until May 2, 2017.
• All RHS students (including shared students from the districts) will be held to the same criteria to attend the
prom.
• Guest must have their school photo ID or a state identification card.
Dress Code: Female – No two-piece dresses, no low cut in the bodice area or back of the dress. All dresses
must be approved by administration. If you do not have approval and arrive to prom not dressed appropriately
you will not be admitted, and no refunds will be issued.
SENIORS
Must be currently enrolled in Westwood Community Schools attending (Robichaud, Cyber and Ombudsman Campuses)
respectfully.
Must be in good standing academically and financially (Class Dues)
Cannot have fifteen or more unexcused absences for the current school year,
Must be a graduating senior
Cannot get suspended; or be on suspension the week of the prom
Must be cleared by the Principal
INVITED GUESTS
• Guests must be currently enrolled in a high school or a high school graduate.
• Guests who have dropped out of or withdrawn from any school are not eligible to attend this event.
• Guests must provide a photo copy of their driver’s license or school ID with their guest form and payment.
• Guest must have a parent/guardian signature and contact information if under 18 years of age.
• Guest must be in good standing academically
• Cannot have fifteen or more unexcused absences for the current school year
• Cannot get suspended; or be on suspension the week of the prom,
• Cannot be over the age of 20
• Guests that ARE students at Robichaud High School must have name submitted to the Senior Class Advisor(s) by April 2,
2017.

Graduation
Tuesday, June 6th, 2017 6:30 p.m. @ The Ford Performing Arts Theater in Dearborn, Michigan.
Families will only receive 2 tickets for the event. You must have a ticket to enter.
Measurement for Graduation Cap and Gown
The ordering of your cap and gown for graduation will be taken by Jostens. You must
complete an order form for the cap and gown when the Jostens representatives are here
during lunch in October.
Senior Cap and Gown Pictures
Pictures are set for Thursday, November 17, 2016.
All Seniors are required to take a cap and gown picture for the yearbook. Sitting fee: $25.00,
part of the Senior dues.
Graduation Announcements
The Jostens representatives will present the Robichaud High School Class of 2017 on
graduation announcements and other graduation memorabilia. They will be on campus in
November for ordering.
The cost of announcements varies depending upon the item(s) you choose to purchase and the
quantity.

Senior Dues: $261/$266 (If you choose to purchase all items.)

Senior Student Robichaud T-shirt $15/$20 – more for sizes XL and up)
Senior Gear (Basic hooded Sweatshirt and Sweatpants combo $65.00) Specialization and larger sizes will cost
extra.
Payment plans are available to students making arrangements prior to December 23, 2016 (No payments will be
accepted after May 2, 2017)
Payments for class dues are to be paid with Cash, Cashier’s Check or Money Orders Only.
Cashier’s Checks and Money Orders are to be made payable to: Robichaud High School
Include your name, student ID number and school on the money orders.
Please be reminded if you do not pay class dues a CAP and Gown will not be ordered and you will not
participate in the graduation ceremony.
