Utility Billing Information
Effective March 1, 2016
Utility rates are based on a two-month billing period
Residential Water – the base rate for water is $33.00 regardless of how much water is used. In addition:

usage between 0.00 – 10 cubic meters is charged at $2.15 / cubic meter.

usage between 10.01 – 20 cubic meters is charged at $2.20 / cubic meter.

usage between 20.01 – 30 cubic meters is charged at $ 2.25 / cubic meter.

usage between 30.01 – 45 cubic meters is charged at $ 2.30 / cubic meter.

usage above 45 cubic meters is charged at $2.35 / cubic meter.
Residential Sewer is based on water consumption – sewer is charged at 100% of the water billed in the period.
Garbage Collection is $21.00 / 2 months
Solid waste collection days are Tuesday for NE & NW residents, and Wednesday for SE and SW residents. Please have
bins ready for collection by 7:00 am. All garbage must fit in the cart, and the lid must close. No additional waste will be

Residential Recycling rate is $12.00 / 2 months (Note: The Town of Turner Valley does not offer recycling pickup, but
encourage residents to utilize the Oilfields Recycling Centre located at 106 Royal Ave NE; at the east end of the Fire Hall)
Water Restrictions
Residents are encouraged to conserve water by restricting outdoor water use to according to the following schedule
(outdoor water use includes: watering lawns, filling hot tubs, washing vehicles, sidewalks, pads, building exteriors etc.):
ODD and EVEN WATERING DAYS: The last number of your residential address (odd or even) determines which days
outdoor water use should be undertaken:
ODD:
numbered addresses may use water for these purposes Thursday and Sundays
EVEN:
numbered addresses may use water for these purposes Wednesday and Saturdays
WATERING: It is requested watering occur only on the suggested odd even days during the following hours:
6:00 am – 9:00 am
and
7:00 pm – 11:00 pm.
NEW SOD: We encourage the watering of new sod daily for two weeks only during the following hours:
6:00 am – 9:00 am
and
7:00 pm – 11:00 pm.
