PHEOCS Investigation Materials List labquest tablet grip force device three human test subjects a tape measure an open space a notebook and a pencil PHEOCS Background Information 1. 2. 1.measure all the subjects forearms 2.plug the grip sensor into the labquest 3. 4. 3.when you turn it on this screen will come up. 4.In the upper right corner is the graph button click on it 5. 6.once your test subject is holding the grip sensor press the play button in the bottom left corner, and have the subject squeeze the sensor in a steady pace. 7.After your all subject do this have them see how many pushups they can do, them have them run a lap around a gym as fast as they can then more pushups, etc. For how many times you want. PHEOCS Background Information- Contacting live I talked to Brenda Miller, a physical therapist , and I asked her what was muscle fatigue, and she said that it is the physical where of muscle, and the most common muscle to get fatigue is the forearm muscles. PHEOCS Background Information Hypothesis My hypothesis is that the bigger the circumference of someone’s forearm the more grip force strength they will show. PHEOCS Hypothesis Mr. Hall 29.4 83 lbs. 18 Fitness level affecting forearm strength and stamina yes Cole 25 66 lbs. 15 yes Alyssa 20 31 lbs. 16 yes Blaze 23 46 lbs. 14 yes Niki 21 37 lbs. 16 yes Subject Forearm Circumference (cm) Muscle Strength over 10 secs (lbs) Muscle Stamina over 2 minutes (lbs) % change PHEOCS Data Table This graph shows the speed of the subject timed laps. 16 14 12 10 test1 8 test2 test3 6 4 2 0 cole blaze niki alyssa My conclusion is that some people do not get tired as easy as others do. So muscle fatigue effects people at different rates. PHEOCS Conclusions I observed that people that are in sports or are used to exercise can do more sprints or do sprints faster. PHEOCS Observations
