Nicolo “Tithing is not only a way to thank God, but a way to thank the parish.” 2 Parishioner October 18, 2015 29th Sunday of Ordinary Time NIC NOTES Dear Parishioners, The Holy Rosary is a mainstream method of prayer in the Catholic Church. It is important that everyone knows how to pray the Rosary. In particular, it is important that our children learn this time honored prayer. It is not only important that they learn it, but even more importantly that they pray it. I would strongly encourage all of our families to pray the Holy Rosary as a family. Many people seem to be able to make time for everything but the essentials – Holy Mass and Prayer. As a family, perhaps you could begin saying a decade every day. Below is a guide to help you. May God, through the intercession of St. Helena, bless us. Love and Prayers, Msgr. Nicolo 3 October 18, 2015 29th Sunday of Ordinary Time KEN’S CACHE Memorials for the Week of October 18, 2015 One of the highlights of the RCIA process is the Rite of Welcoming. This Sunday at the 9am mass we will be welcoming Pablo Botero and Maciej Okulicz-Kozaryn into the process which will culminate in their full initiation into the Church on the Sunday after Easter, Devine Mercy Sunday. Please keep them in your prayers and should you see them outside in the grocery, school or wherever, don’t hesitate to say hello. St. Helena parishioners do things like that.
