THE KESSLER COLLECTION’S GRAND BOHEMIAN GALLERY ANNOUNCES A
FALL TOUR OF NEW WORKS BY ACCLAIMED ARTIST JEAN CLAUDE ROY
ORLANDO, Fla. – The Kessler Collection – a portfolio of ten artistically inspired boutique hotels – and the
in-house Grand Bohemian Galleries present a fall tour of NEW WORKS BY JEAN CLAUDE ROY, a much
anticipated autumnal appearance series of the French-born artist. The Southeastern tour is set to unveil 60 new
original oil paintings at Kessler Collection boutique hotels from Orlando and St. Augustine, Fla., to Savannah,
Ga. and Asheville, N.C. from Oct. 27 to Nov. 30, 2011. As a Kessler signature artist, Roy’s work is
exclusively displayed domestically at Grand Bohemian Galleries and Kessler Collection hotels, as well as widely
distributed and collected internationally. The exhibition includes intimate artist receptions at each gallery,
allowing guests and supporters the opportunity for creative insight. Open to the public, the events also give
visitors a chance to collect his new works, available at a first come, first serve basis.
In addition, an intimate French Country Wine Dinner alongside the artist takes place at Grand
Bohemian Hotel in Asheville, N.C. on Friday, Oct. 28, 2011 from 6:00 – 9:30 p.m. For $99 per person, art
enthusiasts enjoy four-courses of French Country cuisine paired with Burgundy wines in the Black Forest Wine
Room.*

Roy’s landscapes. The artist features this fiery autograph, ranging in color and size, in his compositions because

by al fresco settings, Roy prefers to work outdoors and paints daily. One can often see the effects of the plein air
elements in his artwork, as it remains in its original state.

About Jean Claude Roy
Jean Claude Roy was born on the west coast of France and began painting before he was 10 years old.
After several years at sea, with much time spent in the ports of Newfoundland, his artistic interest turned to
landscape. A completely self-taught and enormously prolific artist, he works most frequently in oils with a palette
knife to create dramatic and color-saturated canvases. He now divides his time, with wife Christina Roy,
between Newfoundland and his hometown of Rochefort-sur-Mer, France. He also works in acrylic, watercolor
and some sculpture.
