DIRECTIONS TO ST. JOHN'S PREP
• From Route 95: From 95 South, take Exit 50 for
Route 1 South to the Route 62 East, Danvers exit.
From Route 95 North, take Exit 49. Turn right at
end of exit ramp onto Route 62. Follow St. John's
Prep signs to Nichols Street on left. Bear right
onto Spring Street. Go to top of hill to the corner of
Spring and Summer streets. to the Prep campus.

Chinese, French, German, Latin and Spanish
• International Study
Exchange programs take place in Spain, Costa
Rica and France. Cultural immersion experiences
offered in Boston, Ecuador, Haiti, Jamaica,
Virginia, and elsewhere.
• Fine Arts
With drama, studio art and music, the arts are a
vibrant part of daily life.
• School Counseling
Eight full-time counselors work with students individually and in group guidance sessions tailored
for each grade level.

• From Route 128 North: Exit 22W (Route 62,
Middleton). Turn right at light onto Route 62W. Follow Route 62 for about 1.5 miles through two sets
of lights. After second light, take third right onto
Summer Street. Go about a half mile up Summer
Street to the Prep campus.

Middleton). Follow Route 62 for about 1.5 miles
through two sets of lights. After second light, take
third right onto Summer Street. Go about a half mile
up Summer Street to the Prep campus.
• From Route 495: Route 114 East: Follow Route
114 to the center of Middleton. Turn left at Exxon
gas station onto Route 62. Follow Route 62 past
Route 1 and Route 95. Take first left after Route 95
overpass onto Nichols Street. Bear right onto Spring
Street. Go to top of hill to the corner of Spring and
Summer streets.

Prep students volunteer to help others through
programs locally, nationally and internationally.
• Athletics
St. John's offers 20 sports from rugby, fencing,
and water polo to Ultimate Disc and football.
Students also play intramural sports daily.

VISITOR'S GUIDE TO THE PREP CAMPUS
Alumni Hall: Built in 1964, Alumni Hall houses the 350seat Kaneb Theatre and is home to the Prep's awardwinning Drama Guild.
Brother Benjamin Hall: Built in 1964 and extensively
remodeled in 2003, Brother Benjamin Hall houses
classrooms, the main school office, the Principal’s office,
Admissions, the bookstore, the School Counseling office,
and the English, Social Studies, and Science departments.
A.E. Studzinski Library: Built in 2003 the 24,000 square
foot library houses a 21,500 volume collection, advanced
computer resources, six technology classrooms, and the
Computer Science and school technology offices.
Memorial Dining Hall: Built in 1925 and named to honor
Prep alumni killed in World War I, Memorial Dining Hall is
distinguished by its Gothic style and leaded windows.
Administration Building: The oldest building on campus.
Constructed in 1880 as the residence of Jacob Spring, it
houses the chapel and administrative offices, including the
Headmaster’s office, Advancement and the Treasurer.
Ryken Center for the Arts: Constructed in 1916, Ryken
was renovated in 1995 as an arts center with studio,
practice and performance space and offices for the Fine
Arts department.
Xavier Hall: Built in 1911 with the Prep's landmark spire;
renovated in 2005 with 31 state-of-the-art classrooms;
offices for the World Languages, Religious Studies and
Mathematics departments; and a new Campus Ministry
Center. A museum of Prep history was installed in 2007
to celebrate the school's Centennial.

Memorial Gymnasium: Home to the Prep Eagles, the
gymnasium is named in honor of Prep alumni killed in
World War II and the Korean War.
