All MBU faculty/staff members and students are eligible to install genuine Office products on up to five devices of their
choosing for free. These licenses are intended for personal use only. For work computers, please contact the MBU IT
department for information about Microsoft Office installation.
Below are instructions which are intended to help you install and activate Microsoft Office applications using your free
Microsoft Office 365 account. For questions regarding this process, please contact the MBU IT department at (314)392-2377.
1. Navigate your internet browser to https://portal.office.com.
2. Enter your MBU username (once you hit TAB, you will be redirected to MBU’s personal login portal).
3. Enter your MBU password and click the Sign in button.
4. Locate the heading of “Install Office on your PC” and click the Install now button.
5. This will download the setup files and begin installation on your machine.
6. Follow the on-screen instructions until Microsoft Office is fully installed on your machine.
7. If prompted to either enter a Product Key or sign in with your Microsoft Office 365 account, choose to log in
via your Microsoft Office 365 account and use your MBU username/password to log in. This will activate your
license.

Should I use this offer to download Office to my work computer?
No, these licenses are intended for personal use only. For work computers, please contact the MBU IT department for
information about Microsoft Office installation.
Will Office be identical on a PC, a Mac, and a mobile device?
No. Office applications are tailored to work best on each platform and device. The Office applications available for Mac users
and the version numbers may be different from those available for PC users.
What is Microsoft OneDrive?
Microsoft OneDrive is free online storage that comes with your Microsoft account. It’s like an extra hard drive that’s available
from any of the devices you use. Each user gets 1TB (1000GB) of OneDrive space for free. Use this space to store
documents, music, movies, and share them with others.
How long is this offer available to me?
These Microsoft Office licenses are free to any full/part-time student and any full/part-time member of the faculty and
staff. After you leave the institution, your account will be deactivated automatically along with your access to MBU
applications (My MBU Access, Learn, Life, etc.)
