3 days touring in the Cerces mountain range, the perfect playground for multiple
days’ ski touring.
Dates: beginning of January to beginning of April.
Number of days: 3 days.
Number of participants: minimum 3 persons and maximum 6.
Technical level: Average ski tourer. Around 5-hour days with a vertical climb
of 700 to 900 metres / day. You need to be comfortable skiing in all types of
snow conditions.
Price “All Included”: 437€/person.
Programme:
D-1 - Possibility to stay at hostel or hotel upon request.
D1: Col du Chardonnet 2638m.
Meet at the Guide Bureau at 07:30 am. We go through the equipment
and programme. We take the car to Pont de l’Alpe. Skins on and we
start our climb to l’Alpe du Lauzet to continue to Col du Chardonnet.
We ski down to the cosy Chardonnet hut.
Vertical climb: +930m
D2 : Tour des Crêtes du Queyrellin
Skin up to Col de Casse Blanche (2800m). Ski down to the Laval hut.
Skin along the Clarée river to spend the night in the Drayères hut.
Vertical climb: +770m
D3 : Tour de la pointe des Cerces
Skin to Col des Cerces, passing the Rond lake, then ski down to the
Cerces lake. One last climb to the Crête de la Ponsonnière (2824m) to
finish off with a long ski descent down to the car at Pont de l’Alpe.
The programme is always subject to change depending on weather, snow
conditions and the level of the participants. The guide makes the final
decision to modify the programme due to safety reasons.
Your guide:
Fully certified UIAGM mountain guide or aspirant UIAGM mountain guide.
Lodging:
Comfortable, guarded huts, sleeping in dormitories. Blankets
provided, but think of bringing silk or cotton travel sheet.
Hot water showers (1,50€).
Half board including picnick for lunch.
Meeting point:
Meet at the Guide Bureau at 07:30 am.
End:
At Pont de L’Alpe around 4:00 pm.
Included in the price:
- mountain guide
- accommodation with half board in guarded huts (2 nights)
- picnics at lunch
- individual safety equipment such as transceiver, shovel and probe
Not included in the price:
- added drinks
- snack
- taxi if required
- personal gear (see equipment list below - rent is possible)
- personal insurance as well as for cancellation/repatriation
PRACTICAL
Register: By sending us a filled in and signed registration form and
accompanied by a deposit of 30 % (we will in our turn send you a confirmation).
The balance must be paid 30 days before the departure date. If you register less
than 30 days before the departure date, you must pay the total cost of the trip
with your booking request.
Method of payment:
Pay by credit card or cash directly at the Guide Bureau of La Grave, or by bank
transfer, check etc. Please contact us for details.

We highly recommend you to subscribe to an insurance covering “cancellationassistance-repatriation”
Guide La Grave Xperience has negotiated with EUROP ASSISTANCE for a
formula fully adapted to our type of courses. Please contact us for further
information and we can help you subscribe to the insurance.

Climate: We are in a high mountain environment and rapid weather changes are
not unusual. Your clothing needs to be adapted to this environment and we
recommend several layers rather than one thick layer.
Access: If you do not have your personal vehicle, there is bus transfer from
Grenoble (time table at La Grave tourist office or Grenoble bus station/”gare
routière de Grenoble”) or use a taxi (Taxi de la Meije: +33 (0)6 79 53 45 67).

Personal equipment list:
- touring skis, skins, ski crampons.
- touring boots
(If you do not have the right equipment we can rent it for you as a supplement,
please let us know when you book)
- backpack, around 45 litres
- 1 ski touring/ mountaineering pant
- 1 shell jacket (type goretex)
- 1 technical underwear (top and bottom) + 1 extra top
- 1 warm fleece sweater
- 1 extra layer fleece/synthetic/down
- ski gloves
- thinner gloves for the climbs
- hat, cap
- sunglasses (cat. 4 recommended)
- sunscreen
- water bottle
- personal belongings for the nights in huts (blanket and slippers are provided by
the hut)
- travel sheet
- personal first aid kit (light version for blisters etc)
