Dear Parents
Re: Year 7 International Week Visit to France – 7K, 7M, 7X, 7Y
We will be holding an information evening for parents of students in 7K, 7M, 7X, 7Y only on
Wednesday 14th May 2014 at 6.00 pm in the Beehive.
Final details will be discussed at this meeting and there will be a chance to meet some of the staff
accompanying the trip. If you are unable to attend please ask a friend to make notes on your behalf.
We will be compiling a telephone chain before the meeting and we will ask you to check your telephone
numbers at the meeting.
Please bring along to the meeting:
1. Your son’s/daughter’s passport so that we can check the number, together with a photocopy of the
title page of the passport*. Please check the expiry date of your child’s passport now, as your
child will not be able to travel without a valid passport.
2. Your son’s/daughter’s EHIC for us to keep. (Please note that each member of the family must have
their own individual EHIC. These cards are obtainable online – www.ehic.org.uk ).
Please check the expiry date on your child’s EHIC card to make sure it has not expired.
*We are asking you to provide us with this photocopy, because, for security reasons, it is
impracticable for us to retain the passports for the amount of time needed to make so many
photocopies.
We would be very grateful if you would complete the attached reply slip and return it to
Mrs J Elliott in the Languages Office (B1.3) as soon as possible.
