LSM Manager
Job Summary
The LSM Manager is responsible for managing and developing Local Store Marketers in all markets. He/she reports directly to the
Marketing Director, and works in conjunction with the Local Owners to identify sales building opportunities. The LSM Manager
provides direction to the LSMs in each market to identify and capitalize on sales building opportunities. He/she connects the dots
across multiple markets to identify cross-marketing opportunities. Similar to the LSM’s role in their local market, the LSM Manager is
responsible for leading the efforts to grow sales company-wide in all four revenue centers – Dine In, Drive Thru, To Go, and Catering.
Key Performance Elements / Essential Functions
Essential job functions include, but are not limited to the following:
Training and Development
 Assist Local Owners with hiring, recruiting and training and managing all LSMs.
 Provides initial training schedule to all new LSMs, working alongside of them to assist with training process.
 Works with the Training Department to update any current LSM training materials, and to create any additional resources
needed.
 Conducts quarterly market visits to follow up on LSM goals and market plan progress, provide support and identify additional
sales opportunities.
 Provides direction to the LSMs to nurture relationships to grow catering sales.
 Partners with the Local Owners to ensure regular performance evaluations, feedback and development plans are provided for all
LSMs, and ensures follow through of all development plans.
 Assists Marketing Director with LSM Summits, Conference Calls, and any additional market-specific meetings.
LSM Management

Provides support and direction to the LSMs and facilitates best practice sharing across markets.

Acts as an informal leader the LSMs to ensure they have all the tools and resources necessary to execute all Market Sales Plan
initiatives.

Partners with Local Owners to ensure consistent accountability of the LSMs for sales growth.

Assists with developing programs and tools to track catering sales.

Ensures that all company-wide Marketing campaign initiatives are implemented timely and executed according to JNN
standards.
Building a Market Sales Plan

Collaborates with Marketing Director and Local Owners to create strategic marketing plans by market and then communicates
these plans to the LSMs.
 Identifies new marketing opportunities and contributes ideas and suggestions to current sales/marketing plans
and strategies.

Collaborates with Marketing Director and Local Owners to create strategic marketing plans by market and then communicates

Identifies potential relationships with influential “movers and shakers” in local communities, and provides direction to LSM on
how to develop, nurture, and capitalize on these relationships.

Continuously focuses on strategies to drive traffic within the four walls by identifying resources and tools to drive traffic.

Provides additional support to underperforming markets by developing market-specific plans for low performing stores.

National Catering Client Management.
 Partner with LSMs to identify national catering clients that exist across multiple markets (ex: large corporate businesses with
offices in multiple markets)
 Manages national catering clients and relationships by acting as the sole contact person for large cross-market
accounts.
 Provides additional market research and support to the LSMs to identify economic developments, and new opportunities for
Catering.

Provides direction on Food Shows and measures the overall ROI for each market.

Manages Catering Planners in each market to ensure past events are rebooked.
 Utilizes this method to measure new business, food show ROI
Networking and Community Partnerships
 Ensures Jim ‘N Nick’s is seeing an ROI on all community partnerships.
 Provides guidance to the LSMs to determine the difference in smart community donations and those that will not
benefit the business.
 Partners with LSMs to ensure strong relationships with tourism organizations, Chambers of Commerce, and other local groups.
 Help increase community connectivity for all LOs in their local markets
 Continuously educates the LOs and GMs on relationship marketing and community partnerships.
 Provides advice and knowledge to LSMs on how to be a successful “networker”
 Determines materials needed on site at all Community Events to ensure proper set up and branding.
 Offers advice on which networking groups would most benefit Jim ‘N Nick’s.
Communication
 Facilitates bi-monthly calls to communicate objectives, promotions and sales trends to ensure continuous results.
 Continuously educates the Local Owners and GMs on LSM standards and initiatives.
 Communicates with the Local Owners on any direction/guidance provided to the LSMs to ensure effective communication.
 Provides timely, accurate and complete reports on sales and other information required.
 Monthly recaps to the field on new catering business produced by LSMs.
 Partners with the Marketing Director to communicate company initiatives and seasonal marketing campaigns to the LSMs
 Recognize and communicate special requests and guest feedback to Local Owners and Marketing Director as it relates to
Marketing.
Qualifications
Education / Training / Work Experience






A Bachelor’s Degree and/or equivalent experience in a similar role.
One (1) to three (3) years of restaurant operations experience is preferred.
Two (2) or more years of LSM experience is preferred.
Exhibits a strong sales mentality and desire to grow the business.
Familiar with standard concepts, practices and procedures within the restaurant industry.
Proficient with a variety of computer software applications (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word)
