WEAR YOUR RUNNING NUMBER BIB RIGHT
Now that you have collected your running number bib, please ensure you do not misplace it - we will not issue
you another one. The number on your running bib has been synched to the data submitted by you in the
Event's application form, and is vital for all purposes on race day, including entry into the stadium for your run.
DO NOT EXCHANGE YOUR BIB WITH ANY OTHER PERSON OR RUNNER.
The colour of your bib indicates the race category (Half Marathon) you are participating in, and the distance
thereof. You should start at the start time of your run category, i.e. 7:10 a.m. Results and certificates will not be
issued to you if you participate in another race category or start at another start time.
Fill in your personal details: To assist the organizers and the medical personnel of Max Healthcare (event's
medical partner),

Please do ensure you go over the timing mats placed at
designated timing split points on the course, in addition to the
timing mats placed at the start and finish points. This is
essential to capture your split timings. Rankings will not be
generated for runners who miss running over the timing mats
at all locations; such runners will not be entitled to be considered under prize money winning positions (refer
to page 13).
How To Wear The 'Bib Tag'?
ŸWear the bib number horizontally and visibly on the chest, and NOT on your back.
ŸDo not remove or cover the bib with anything including your jacket during your run. Always remember that
the timing mat must see your bib when you cross it.
ŸThe bib tag is stuck on the back of your bib.
ŸDO NOT fold or crumple your number bib or bib tag.
ŸWhile pinning on the number bib, ensure you DO NOT pierce the tag.
ŸDO NOT remove the foam spacer or tamper with the bib tag in any way.
ŸDO NOT separate or remove the bib tag from the bib.
ŸDO NOT keep your bib near any electronic device (eg: television set, mobile, etc.) before your race.
Please note,
Each bib tag is specifically allocated to the running number of individual runners. DO NOT exchange your
running number bib with another fellow runner nor try to remove the bib tag from your bib and hand it over to
another fellow runner. Any interchange will amount to no timing and disqualification of your participation from
the 2016 and 2017 editions of the Event.
Usage of multiple timing devices will not record your time and will amount to disqualification. Also please note
you cannot use this 'Bib Tag' to time yourself at any other distance running event.

ARE YOU READY TO PARTICIPATE IN ADHM?
SOME MEDICAL PRECAUTIONS
We are sure that you must have trained hard to complete the 21.097 km distance within the target time set for
yourself. However, it is important that you listen to your body and of course your doctor, before turning up at
the start line on 20th November 2016. Most medical emergencies during the race occur in people who push
themselves on race day or have not adequately trained or are unwell.
If you feel feverish, or have been vomiting, have had severe diarrhoea or chest pains or generally are feeling
unwell, then it is unfair to you and your family to risk serious illness and become a medical emergency.
Irrespective of whatever may be your age or for how long you may have trained, we sincerely advise you to
obtain a medical clearance from a registered medical practitioner/doctor allowing you to run in the event.
Please review the following questions before the Race Day:
•Has your doctor ever said that you have a heart condition and that you should only do physical activity
recommended by a doctor?

WEATHER INFORMATION
ACC Weather Forecast for Delhi on 20th November 2016 – 28° High and 12° Low.
On race day, please dress taking into account the cold temperatures, especially since you need to assemble
in the stadium at least one hour prior to your start time.
You may wear a body warmer or an additional t-shirt under your running gear. In case you are wearing any
additional layer over your bib, please do discard this just before the start. Donation cartons will be placed
in the holding area. Your discarded jackets/warmers/t-shirts will be donated to an NGO post race day.
Please make sure you DO NOT cover your running number bib with anything including your jacket or
plastic sheet during your run. The timing mat must see your bib when you are crossing it. Covering your
bib with anything would result in your timing not being captured – no timing, no results, no prize money.
A large amount of heat is lost through the head, so a cap will also help you stay warm. Covering your ears
with a cotton/woollen headband/head-wrap is also a good way to keep the ears from getting cold.
If you are travelling into Delhi to run the race, do step outside the morning before the race to get a feel of the
weather for yourself. A few minutes spend on the road in the early morning on Friday or Saturday pre race day
will give you some idea on what the weather may be like at the start.
As regards air pollution, we request our participants to wear protective gear, as best medically advised to
them.

20
AFTER YOUR RUN
As you cross the finish line, do not obscure your running number bib with your arms, the race officials,
television cameras and photographers will find it difficult to identify you. Keep walking as you cross the finish
line, do not suddenly stop movement.
Once you cross the Finish line, please keep moving ahead towards the Nestlé Nutrition Zone. Do not stand at
the finish line to pose for pictures. Remember your fellow runners too need to cross the finish line, and
perhaps achieve their personal best at this edition.
The Finish is a secure area with no public access. You should arrange to meet your supporters at the
Participants' Family Zone (refer to the venue map attached for location).
NESTLÉ NUTRITION ZONE
A post event refreshment pack will be handed over to you at the Nestlé Nutrition Zone beyond the finish line.
You will need to show your running number bib to our volunteers for them to handover the refreshment packet
to you. A disposal bag will be given to you along with the refreshment pack; please fill any
peels/packaging/leftovers in this bag and throw the bag in waste bins provided in the stadium premises. Our
volunteers will be able to clear the place easier and faster. This is part of the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan that
ADHM is supporting.
FINISHER MEDAL
All half marathon finishers will be given their Finisher Medal at the half
marathon medal distribution counter. Please note medals will not be
posted to individual runners.
