I will be taking leave starting this Friday 3rd June and will return on 28th June. The
Shire of Morawa has been fortunate enough to employ Mr Stephen Tindale who
will be the Acting CEO in my absence. Mr Tindale is suitably qualified and very
experienced having worked in local government , including as the CEO at the City
of Subiaco and Town of Cottesloe, for a number of years.

BASKETBALL COMPETITION—YOUR TOWN NEEDS YOU! The Mid West Basketball Carnival will be held on Saturday July 9th at the Mullewa
Recreational Centre. Get your mates together and arrive by 9.30am. Team registration is $50 and open to Male and Female Teams.
Teams Compete against teams from
Yalgoo, Mullewa, Three Springs, Perenjori, Mingenew and Mt Magnet and go in the running for the Melissa Price Town Challenge shield which will be awarded to

KIDSPORT KidSport, a Department of Sport and Recreation funded program, allows WA youth to participate in physical activities, no matter
matt their financial
circumstances. Eligible youth aged 5-18
18 can apply for financial assistance to use towards their club fees. The KidSport system is

distant future parents will no longer need to collect KidSport forms from their clubs/shires. Soon they will be able to fill out a form online. Eligible youth are able
to receive $200 in total off their club fees/expenses, which can be divided across a total of three sports throughout the year.

YOUTH CENTRE NEWS The Morawa Youth Centre has a new selection of games which are proving to be very popular. Pop in and check them out! FREE
Teen Yoga is still on, If you're aged between 12 to 17 come on down to the Youth Centre from 4.30pm on Tuesdays to try it out.

healthy food? Wednesdays are packed at the Youth Centre as the kids line up to see what we’ll be cooking each week. We cook and

recipes while we talk about the nutritional benefits of the ingredients that we use. Last week was fruit salad, with natural yoghurt,
cinnamon, honey and grated dark chocolate. YUMMO!!
