dropped a pass back from the goal line to Perez who hit the shot from 6 yards out.
2) Gustavo Perez scored his 6th goal of the season with 13:15 remaining in the half, assisted by
Wyatt Auen (5th assist of season). D-S switched the ball across the field and the Glenwood goalkeeper
came out to pick up the ball. The keeper bobbled the pickup and Auen hustled after the ball and passed
it to Perez. Perez hit the shot from 4 yards out.
3) Glenwood scored on a counter with 1:23 remaining in the half. D-S was getting 10 guys a
chance to get some playing time and they were late reacting to the counter. The Glenwood striker
raced past all 3 D-S defenders and finished the 1 on 1 with the keeper from 8 yards out.
4) Diego Diaz scored his 8th goal of the season with 3:33 remaining in the match, assisted by
Edgar Gonzalez (4th assist of season). Gonzalez switched a pass from the right wing to Diaz on the left

Comments from Chris Eller: “The JV played very well tonight. We did a great job of possessing the ball
and moving without the ball. We did a great job of making their sweeper work hard and run a lot of
sprints as we marked him up very well for the most part. That effort by our center forwards allowed our
outside forwards to get good shots off that normally they would have had their sweeper between our
player and the goal. Our 1st 2 units played very well and dominated possession as well as playing
shutdown defense. We need to continue to work the ball side to side when we need to. We also need
to watch our off sides as we got called for being off sides 6 times. It’s too late in the season to make
those mistakes that many times. Our 3rd unit came in and really struggled. I thought I’d try to reward
some guys for coming to practice every day and give them some playing time. That unit couldn’t
possess the ball or stop them defensively”.
