We did a great job of possessing the ball and moving without the ball. We did a great job of making their sweeper work hard and run a lot of sprints as we marked him up very well for the most part. That effort by our center forwards allowed our outside forwards to get good shots off that normally they would have had their sweeper between our player and the goal. Our 1st 2 units played very well and dominated possession as well as playing shutdown defense. We need to continue to work the ball side to side when we need to. We also need to watch our off sides as we got called for being off sides 6 times. It’s too late in the season to make those mistakes that many times. Our 3rd unit came in and really struggled. I thought I’d try to reward some guys for coming to practice every day and give them some playing time. That unit couldn’t possess the ball or stop them defensively”.
