Making the Quilt:
Note: Use scant ¼" seams throughout.
1. Cut fabrics.

- Cut six 2½" crosswise strips (outer borders).
- Cut seven 2½" crosswise strips (binding).

strips with diagonal seams as needed.
• Joinleftandrightouterborderstoquilt,rightsides

3. JoinFabricD1½"verticalsashingstripstoTumblersandFinishingPieces,workinginverticalcolumns.
• PositionaTumbleronasashingstrip,rightsidestogether.
Stitch.
• Allowa1"space;positionthesecondTumblerinthatcolumn,reversingnarrowandwideedges.Stitch.It’simportanttoallowthegapbetweenTumblers.Ifyoudon’tyou
won’t be able to cut the correct angle when Tumblers are
trimmed from the sashing strip.

• Prepareeightsashingstripsthatlength,joiningstripswith
diagonal seams as needed.
• Positionandjoinsashingstripsbetweenrowsofsashed
Tumblers.
- JoinasashingstriptotheloweredgeofRow1.Press
seam toward sashing.
