The Cantaloupe who
collects stamps!!

There once was a cantaloupe named Candy and she collected stamps. One day while
Candy was going to the post office to get more stamps for her collection she saw her friend
Kelsey Kiwi. Kelsey did not like Candy’s stamp collection. She thought that stamps should be
used, not collected. Later, after a short day at their cake shop, Kelsey and Celine Currant were
having, Maria Mango, Chloe Cherry, Kate Kumquat, Meghan Melon, Becca Banana, Liz Lemon,
and Emma Elderberry over for brunch. Kelsey and Celine had just opened their cake shop
together; it was called “K&C’s Kupcake and Cake shop.” Kelsey and Celine were best friends,
they had been since preschool. Candy wasn’t going to make it to Kelsey’s because she was going
to her stamp collecting club that she had every Saturday at noon time.
While Kelsey was waiting for her guests to arrive she started to make the food and
drinks. She decided she was going to make home fries, bacon, sausage, waffles, strawberry jello,
chocolate chip pancakes, toast with pineapple jam, and apple juice. Kelsey was really excited
about everyone coming over because it was the first time she got to hold the brunch for the
group. Meghan was the first to arrive, so she offered to help Kelsey make the food. Chloe, Kate,
and Becca came together. Then Emma, Liz, and Maria came.
While they were eating, the Celtics were on so they were watching them. After they were
done watching the Celtics, they started to watch America’s Got Talent. They were having a lot of
fun. Kelsey realized that it was Kate and Chloe’s birthday, so Kelsey and Celine had to make
them a cake. Kelsey and Celine left the table and started making their 2 famous cakes, The first
cake was for Kate. It was a sour-cream chocolate cake with a peanut butter cream-cheese
frosting. The second one was for Chloe. It was a chocolate cake with a coffee flavored frosting.
Chloe like mocha lattes and Kate liked Reese’s peanut butter cups, so that was the reason why
Kelsey chose to make those cakes. When Kelsey and Celine were done making the cakes they
brought them out to the table and showed Kate and Chloe the cake that they had made for each
of them. Kate and Chloe were both delighted that Kelsey and Celine had made cakes for them
because they always forgot birthdays. When everyone was finished their cake they decided that
they want to go out to a restaurant next weekend for brunch. After discussing which restaurant
they wanted to go to they decided that they would go to the Ale House in downtown Gardner.
After they talked for a while, Kelsey’s new IPhone started to ring, but since she had
visitors she didn’t answer her phone. Kelsey went and picked up her phone to see if she had
received a voice mail and she had. It was Candy. Kelsey could tell something was wrong,
because Candy was crying. Candy explained that her stamps got blown away by the wind and
that her days would be like a horror story without her stamps. Candy said that her stamps were
long gone and that she would have to find a new hobby. Candy said her new hobby would be
collecting postcards.
