PRODUCT CATALOGUE
Robmeg Steel was brought to life in February of 2002, as a steel service centre, aimed
at supplying steel related products to the manufacturing and building sector. Soon
hereafter, it was apparent that our direction lay in the manufacturing industry itself,
and our company changed direction accordingly.
The majority of our staff have all originated from the door and window manufacturing
industry, and we have a wealth of skilled and knowledgeable people, which has
enabled us to produce top quality products, timeously and within market related
pricing.
It has always been our company priority to work as a close “family” unit, ensuring
both equality, as well as job satisfaction under our roof at all times. This policy has
been our backbone, which has enabled us to enjoy rapid growth and continued success
with our customers.
In April 2006, we moved into our new premises, and expanded our production to
include cliscoe, FX7 and F7 window frames, as well as transformer doors. We also
updated some of our machinery, to allow for improved quality and efficiency, and
secured many more vehicles to ensure timeous deliveries.
Since then, we have included roof sheeting kits, as well as reinforcing material into
our product range, as well as the full range of round, square and rectangle steel
tubing. We are able to cut tubing to customer’s requirements within 0.02mm
tolerance, and have the capability to bend this tubing to various specifications.
SABS approved fire hose reels, electrical extensions reels and the full range of racking
and shelving are some of the many products that we supply.
Our short term future expansion plans, are roll-forming machines to automate our
production lines, thereby greatly increasing our output, as well as our quality and
service. We have developed a new doorframe system, which will be available from
yearend 2010, which will be revolutionary to our industry.
Robmeg Steel is run by an owner manager, who has always been the sole member of
the business. In 2006, a business deal was struck with a major steel merchant, to
allow a better steel purchase power, thus enabling us to stay competitive in the
market.
In 2008, Ravin Singh joined our board of members with a 49% share interest in our
leading company. He has proven to be an integral part of our management, and has
simultaneously provided us with the much anticipated BEE partnership that we have
been searching for.
