On Saturday, November 19th, at 7pm, the LCC will be
having a Trivia Night here at Hope. The cost is $5 per
person at the door, and cookies and drinks will be
provided. Questions will be Christmas themed. All
money raised will go toward our Compassion
International Child in Honduras, and towards the LCMSU
gathering in January. If you have any questions, contact
Shana Ziolko-Marting.

The Kansas & Missouri Region of Thrivent Financial is
sponsoring four performances of Handel’s Messiah. This
annual event at the Kauffman Center for the Performing
Arts in Kansas City is performed by the KC Symphony,
Symphony Chorus & the Independence Messiah Choir.
This masterpiece has become one of the world’s most
beloved musical works – including the Hallelujah Chorus.
Performance dates are December 1-4. For more
information, go to http://www.kauffmancenter.org/. Tickets
cost $25-$65 for adults and $13-$35 for youths.

We have been invited to a Re-Naming Celebration of
the Memory Care Unit at Oak Pointe. It will now be
called Aspen Village. There’s more info on the bulletin
board in the back of the church.

Tonight is the night! Is everyone
ready for the Soup and Chili Supper? Our volunteers
have been working very hard on this annual event. You
won’t want to miss it. So come out for delicious soup,
delectable desserts, and outstanding fellowship. Bring
your friends and neighbors! Tickets are $6 for adults and
$3 for children. All proceeds go to the Community
Services Energy Fund to help families in need pay their
heating bills this winter.

Please have desserts at the church by 3:30 pm. Thanks!


If you are or know of someone who is sick or in the
hospital, please call the church office (660) 582-3262
or Pastor Oddi (816) 351-0744.

Matthew 5:6 “Blessed are those who hunger and thirst
for righteousness, for they shall be satisfied.” You only
hunger and thirst for what you don’t have. Jesus has
come to fill us up with righteousness – His own
righteousness. He is the self-giving Lord whose sacrifice
inspires us to be givers, too.


O beautiful for heroes proved
In liberating strife,
Who more than self
Their country loved,
And mercy more than life!
America! America!
May God thy gold refine,
Till all success be nobleness,
And every gain divine!

