The goal of this program is to grant
access and independence with
technology to people with disabilities,
whose resources limit their way of life.
The world is quickly becoming
connected at an ever increasing rate,
and a computer is essential to our
everyday needs, be it education, a job,
or just for fun. Those that can not afford a computer find
themselves missing opportunities.
Our aim is to get low cost computers to
these people, so that they will be able
to access all of the opportunities of life.

Gain Independence through Technology
All computers have a 90-day hardware warranty
and a 30-day software warranty. The computers
are installed at the Double Click participants’
residence, if they live in Austin. Otherwise, the
computer is shipped to the residence, if they live
in Texas but outside Austin.
What Kind of Computers?:
The cost of the refurbished desktop computer is
$120. Computer specifications are at minimum:
1.6 GHz– 2.6 GHz Processor, Dell tower case,
DVD-RW Drive, 2GB – 4GB RAM, and a minimum 80GB Hard Drive. We also carry Dell Latitude laptops for the same price. Each computer,
except for laptop, ships with monitor, speakers,
keyboard, mouse, Windows Vista/Windows 7
Home Edition, and Libre Office for word processing.
Loan Programs
The Double Click program offers a no-interest
loan for participants that can not afford a full payment ($120) for the computer.
The monthly payments for the loan program are
determined on a case-by-case basis.
There are 2 payment plans:

$10 for 12-months

$20 for 6-months
