With much appreciation to you for your generous contribution for the 45
pound Aloha for Japan box that accompanied the students and teachers
from Iolani School and Waiakea High School who were attending the
first Japan Super Science Fair, Kyoto. The box was sent via ground
delivery to a relocation center in the earthquake and tsunami
devastated area in Miyagi prefecture. A joint memorial service was held
for the victims of the tsunami on December 11, during which time the
children were provided with the T shirts, baseball caps, school supplies,
souvenirs, candies cookies, games, and other kits. The children were very happy.
We thank Quintin Watanabe of Waiakea High School
who initiated and coordinated this generous gesture
of Aloha to bring a smile to the children, who have
lost their homes and family members in
the tsunami.

for it will never recur.”
