Bulletin Board Guidelines

Bulletin Board Guidelines
Bulletin boards throughout North Idaho College’s campuses (including all buildings on the main Coeur
d’Alene campus and outreach locations in Kellogg, Sandpoint, Bonners Ferry, and Post Falls) are part of
the college’s official strategic communications plan. They are intended for posting of news and events
targeted toward current NIC students and are reserved primarily for use of internal college clubs,
departments, and organizations.

2) All postings of college news and events sponsored by college clubs, departments, and
organizations (with appropriate content) may be posted by representatives of those organizations
without prior approval of the building bulletin board monitor. Push pins will not be provided on
the bulletin boards, so internal organizations posting events should bring their own when
disseminating collateral materials.
3) Official building bulletin board monitors are responsible for approving all postings of news items,
events fliers/posters, and other collateral requested by outside organizations (meaning
organizations that are not college sponsored). At the building bulletin board monitors discretion,
the collateral will be posted, if:
A. There is room on the bulletin board;
B. The content is intended for a student-based audience;
C. The content is appropriate and non-offensive in language or imagery.
4) All inquiries for disseminating information on campus bulletin boards should be forwarded to the
appropriate building bulletin board monitor.
5) Official building bulletin board monitors are also responsible for periodically checking their
assigned bulletin boards and removing inappropriate or unapproved materials.
