Mathematics Placement Test Instructions (Spring 2017 version) Department of Mathematics and Statistics Zayed University Mathematics Placement Test The Mathematics Placement Test will help determine which course is most appropriate for you. It is a 50-question multiple-choice test that includes topics you studied in school. The questions include Arabic translations. You will have 80 minutes to finish the test. If you get a score of 34 or below, you need to register for MTH 101. If your score 35 or above, you can register for COL 110. You may only take this test once. This test is given at the end of the Fall and Spring semester (before registration week) for ABP and POTB students, and during the Orientation Week (August and January) for new students. What do you need during the test? You need your ZU ID with your student ID number, a pen or pencil, and a calculator. You may not use the calculators on your cellphones, iPads, or laptops. What will be on the test and how do you review for it? The following topics are included in the test. You can go to www.khanacademy.org to review for each topic.
