Your help is hugely appreciated and we couldn’t have done it without you. From the Year 4 Team Just a quick note this week to remind everyone that Parents’ Evening begins at 4.00pm on Thursday 16th October. This term the Headship Team will be offering some advice on how to use the pupil planners to best effect, applying for Pupil Premium/Free School Meals benefits and I will also be talking to parents about when the best time of day/year for school events is, so that we can more closely suit your needs. Please come up and have a chat with myself or the other Headship Team – Mrs Frost, Miss Johnson and Mrs Reeve, we will be on hand to show people around or answer questions etc. Whilst I’m on the subject of Pupil Planners can I please ask…no beg parents to help us by filling them in when you read with your children. Remember 20 minutes a night from Nursery to Year 6 is 51,000 minutes of quality one to one reading time. Don’t miss a minute! This is vital for us, as it also means that we can communicate with you more effectively. At Parents’ Evening you will also be given a ‘target’ sheet to explain what your children need to work on at home and in school. This may have test information to keep you informed about their current levels. All parents but Year 6 parents in particular need to look at this information and try to support us in any way you can to ensure the pupils do as well as possible this year.
