- Identify on a map the major world empires in 1900 (outcome 1.1.2)
- Identify on a map the main members of the Allied and Central Powers
(outcome 1.2.2)
Instructions
Recreate a map of Europe at the outbreak of war in 1914 by labelling the
following
- Countries of the Triple Alliance (Germany, Austria-Hungary, Italy)
- Countries of the Triple Entente (France, Great Britain, Russia)
- Bodies of Water (Black Sea, Mediterranean Sea, Atlantic Ocean, Baltic Sea)
- The Balkan countries of Serbia, Albania, Greece, Bulgaria, Romania, and the
Ottoman Empire,
- Neutral nations (Belgium, Norway, Sweden, Denmark
Choose a variety of colours when created your map that will highlight the various
components listed above.
