To start, each teacher offers tutoring either before school or after school. There are also departmental tutoring sessions if your child is unable to attend tutoring with his/her teacher. The math lab is open Monday and Thursday afternoons and is another resource for students struggling in math. If you are seeking tutoring outside of school, you can find a community tutoring list on the CP Counselor Monday-Thursday, 2:45-4 in the College and Career Center. In that five week time period, 87 students have attended, some of which have attended multiple times. Please continue to encourage your students to take advantage of this valuable program. COLLEGE AND CAREER: Want to get a jump start on one of the most challenging things in the college application process?? Start a resumenow! Colleges require that students list everything-clubs, organizational involvement, community service, religious organization volunteering, co-curricular involvement, scouting, work, internships, job shadowing pretty much anything not related to being in class when they apply to college their senior year. In fact, they expect students to estimate (not exact, but simply an estimate) how many hours per week and weeks per year they participate in all their activities. All honors and awards in any of these areas will need to be listed as well. This can be super daunting for students, so the sooner they start a resume, the better!
