You are required to read 2 books this summer. One book must be selected from the list below. The other
book may be a book of your choice which is at least 100 pages.
Choose a project from the list below to complete after reading each book. You do not have to do the same
project for each book. The projects for both books are due on the first day of school.
Use good grammar, correct punctuation and spelling, and correct sentence structure.

Project Choices

Create a poster with the following information: (this may be created on poster board or on
8 1/2 x11 paper on the computer)
 Materials: standard sized poster board
(approximately 22” x 28”), arranged either
vertically or horizontally (See examples on
this page.) or computer generated on 8 ½ x
11 paper

The following information should be in the 6 boxes:
Description of the protagonist, the antagonist, 3 major conflicts, the setting, short description of the

plot, and a review; illustrations may be added. Make sure it looks appealing.
2. Create a video of 5 minutes or less depicting a scene of the book.
3. Type at least 15 questions and answers in the form of an interview with the author. You may video this as
well.
4. Create a power point with 10 slides that each include illustrations and the following information:
Your Name, Title & author, main characters, setting, exposition, rising action, climax, falling action,
exposition, recommendation.
5. Type a 5 paragraph (it may be longer) letter to a friend telling him/her about the book. Do not reveal the
ending.
