PERFORMANCE CHARACTERISTICS OF THE FLOWCONTROL MINI BRAIN SHOCK
In some situations when the shock is activated, some sounds or flutters can be heard coming from the FlowControl Mini Brain shock
reservoir (attached to the left seatstay).
Additionally, a quick/abrupt sensation might be felt when the Brain returns to its closed position during or after shock activation. This
sensation can be felt when the Brain Fade adjust knob is 1-3 clicks out from full firm, and is most pronounced at the full firm setting.
These characteristics are the result of the way the Mini Brain Shock works. Such behavior is normal and a result of a properly functioning
hydraulic system. It does not indicate a defect of any kind.
At full firm or 1-3 clicks out from full firm, it is normal for your shock to exhibit these characteristics. However, if they are still present after
turning the Brain Fade adjust knob 5 clicks out and beyond from full firm, take your bike into a Specialized Authorized Dealer for evaluation.
The performance characteristics of the Brain shock might also be experienced on Stumpjumper and Safire forks and shocks
with Brain technology.
