Sort those suffixes! – a pelmanism game
Photocopy the root words (in blue) and the suffixes (in red)
and cut them out. This is a game for pairs or small groups so
you will need several sets.
Pairs should shuffle both sets of cards and lay them out face
down on the table. Each child takes it in turns to turn over a
root word and a suffix. If they can make a word they keep
them. If not, they lay them face down again and play moves
to the next child. The winner is the child who makes the most
words.
