Enter an Exhibit in the Fair If you can make it, bake it, grow it or show it—we have a category for you! Enter an exhibit in this year’s Nevada County Fair. It’s easy and fun, and we have hundreds of youth exhibit categories for kids and youth. • Agriculture: Produce characters, home grown fruits and vegetables. • Arts and Collectibles: Drawings, ceramics, pottery, collections, classroom mission exhibits, models, recycled art, scrapbooking, and more. • Crafts: Birdhouses, bookmarks, cards, collage, class projects, duct tape art, jewelry, Legos, tie dye items, wood carving and more. • Community Service: Display an activity and its impact. • Mommy (or Daddy) and Me: Created for our youngest Fair exhibitors. • Clothing and Textiles: Apparel, quilts, needlecraft and weaving, textile painting, stuffed toys, and more. • Floriculture: Dried arrangements, fresh and miniature arrangements, potted plants, table setting, miniature gardens, fairy gardens, and more. • Baked and Preserved Foods: Pies, cookies, breads, cakes, cupcakes, giant cookies, cake pops, candy, ugliest cake, jelly, pickles, and more. • Photography: Fair-time photo, animals, nature, people, scenes and more. • Science and Technology: Computer-assisted drawing, graphic design, multimedia, web page development, and more. • Pet Look-A-Like Contest: Enter a photograph of exhibitor and pet. • Writing, Poetry and Prose • New This Year: button art, decorated reusable grocery bag, plastic utensil art, cake pops, beach art, sea creature masks, 4-H/Grange still projects, and daily food contests.
