Advanced Placement US History- Mr. Owens Summer Assignment 2009 Due Wednesday September 2nd, 2009 (1st Day of School) Greetings. In order to keep pace with the AP exam date, students must begin the reading for this class over the summer. You must first check out a copy of the textbook: American History, A Survey, from the Culver City High School Library in the beginning of summer, (starting Monday June 30th). The following assignment is due September 2nd and will go toward your 1st semester grade. Failure to complete the following assignment will show that you are unprepared for the rigors of AP and will be grounds for dropping you from the class. Write a one-page reflection (handwritten) describing what you saw there and what you learned that relates to American history. Also please include a ticket stub or a brochure from your visit.
