Spring is right around the corner which means our gardeners will start to think about what plants they want to plant this year. That's right, it's time for our annual flower sale. Once again we will be participating in the voucher program from Caan's Floral. To allow you more time to be able to pick up your flowers, we will have the voucher delivery be earlier this year. You only need to decide if you want geraniums, spikes/vines, hanging basket, etc. The voucher will allow you to go to Caan's & that day decide what type of hanging basket, the color etc. Orders will be taken from March 20 through April 24. Monies should accompany order, checks made payable to “St. Andrew Lutheran Church”. All profits will once again go toward our current fund. Order forms can be found in your April Voice & at both church entrances. Any questions, please contact Sherrie Kauger at 980-5167 or email: [email protected]. How can you share God’s grace and love? How can you reach out as Christ’s healing hands in the world? When Lutheran World Relief (LWR) distributes Personal Care Kits around the world, it’s often to people who have lost everything in an earthquake or have fled from violence as their homes were overtaken. The very simple gesture of giving a Personal Care Kit can give someone the encouragement to start anew, starting with doing something as simple as washing one’s face or combing one’s hair. You can share God’s grace and love and be Christ’s healing hands in the world by helping St. Andrew’s Women of the ELCA make Personal Care Kits for LWR. Items needed for Personal Care Kits for Lutheran World Relief (LWR) include: Light or medium weight bath size towels (approx. 52”x27”), dark color Bath-size bars (4-5 oz.) of soap in original wrapping Adult-size toothbrushes Sturdy combs Metal nail clippers (attached file optional) All items are to be new. Donations may be placed in the Personal Care Kit donation box found on the table at the top of the stairs in parking lot entrance. St. Andrew Women of the ELCA as a Thrivent Action Team will be assembling the kits in May. Questions? Contact Phyllis Bloedow. “Recipe Corner”: Do you have a favorite recipe to share, please email the church or put it in the Office Secretary’s box outside the office. Thanks!
