Rising 40 stories above the city’s popular NoMad district, 400 Park Avenue is a sleek new
addition to the Manhattan skyline. The luxury residential tower by Toll Brothers City Living was
completed in late 2015 and is now over 50 percent sold. BuzzBuzzHome News visited the onsite sales gallery for an exclusive tour of the building including a look at its impressive array of
amenities and beautifully appointed model suite.
Designed by Pritzker Prize-winning architect Christian de Portzamparc, the glass and steel high
rise features a modern exterior architecture that’s both distinctive and eye catching. The dynamic
facade is characterized by expansive spans of glass creating asymmetrical forms and cantilevered
corners reminiscent of crystal prisms.
“It’s not really a tower but a gathering of different towers together at an angle which is very
particular, and I think it provides interesting apartments [and] interesting views,” said de
Portzamparc. “What is special is this prismatic, oblique type of volume in Manhattan which
integrates itself well in the block and provides some dynamics with the sky.”
Inside, the condominium houses a collection of world-class amenities starting with a welcoming
lobby showcasing a display of curated artwork by local artist and designer Orly Genger. These
include a vibrant pedestal mounted red rope sculpture, and a stunning 12-foot watercolor titled
Royal Rumble.
The development also offers 24-hour concierge services, a state-of-the-art fitness center with a
yoga room indoor lap pool with Jacuzzi, steam room and sauna, as well as a residents’ lounge,
screening room, golf simulator and children’s playroom.
More amenities are found on the 27th floor where a sky lounge and terrace provides the perfect
spot to entertain, get a little work done or simply enjoy the spectacular views.
“400 Park Avenue South offers buyers the chance to live in a true work of art with inspiring city
views,” said David Von Spreckelsen, the New York Division President of Toll Brothers City
Living. “The homes offer a fabulous lifestyle with unique and spectacular spaces, fantastic
amenities and immediate access to some of the finest retail, dining and activities in New York
City.”
The suites at 400 Park Avenue were designed by Stephen Alton and range from studios to four
bedroom plans with free-flowing open concept layouts. The sales office is situated on the 23rd
floor in suite 23C where visitors can tour a beautiful 2,692-square-foot three-bedroom suite with
three bathrooms.
The residence opens to a bright entryway with a full three piece bathroom and a spacious 28-foot
long dining room to the left. Straight ahead is the main living area with a custom-designed
gourmet kitchen overlooking the living room. Designed to maximize form and function, the
sleek kitchen features Pedini glass-faced cabinetry, quartzite countertops and Miele appliances.
Nestled in the north east corner of the suite, the bright and spacious living room is flooded with
natural light through floor-to-ceiling windows offering panoramic city views.
Off of the kitchen, a long hallway leads to the residence’s three large bedrooms including the
master retreat with a generous bedroom area, two walk-in closets and a corner study/office. The
space also boasts a spa-like five piece ensuite with dual vanities, deep soaker tub, stand up
shower, glass and marble accents and heated floors.
Prices on remaining homes start at $1,824,990. To learn more about 400 Park Avenue South and
