The course is taught by a experienced Ricardo chief engineer and
senior engine build technician with a mixture of classroom and

• An introduction to the operation and main systems and
components of a light duty internal combustion engine
- Combustion principles
- 4 stroke cycle
- 2 stroke cycle
- Applications for both fuel types
• A workshop session to become familiar with engine
components and their applications through taking part in
the disassembly of a light duty diesel engine
• Understand the key component differences between Diesel
and Gasoline engines
How to attend
The day includes a site tour of Ricardo and the McLaren engine
build facility.

The training course is £650 per day (which includes a delegate pack,
lunch and refreshments).
The price is exclusive of UK VAT
For bookings cancelled 30 days or more prior to the course date,
we will refund the fee in full. Otherwise the fee is non-refundable
